Malinao rural women train on food processing
A total of thirty-four (34) women members of Rural Improvement Club (RIC)-Malinao underwent a two-day Training-Workshop on Squash Noodle Making, and Ginger & Turmeric Processing held at Brgy. Tambuan, Malinao, Aklan on July 16-17, 2024.
This activity, which was aimed at developing new products for additional income generation for households, was an initiative of Aklan AIMCoop RIC in partnership with Aklan State University-Extension and Community Services, Local Government Office of Malinao, and COMELEC-Malinao.
Prof. Josephine R. Pajo, a nutritionist-dietician from the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences, and Mr. Jeffry De Mateo of ASU Food Processing Laboratory conducted the said training workshop.
