The Accounting Office (AO) serves as the primary unit responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of the university’s financial operations. The office is entrusted with managing and overseeing the university’s financial resources, including budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The Accounting Office is also responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance of financial records, preparing financial statements, processing payments, and managing payroll. It supports the university in its financial decision-making processes by providing accurate and timely financial information to the administration, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

The Accounting Office operates under the direct supervision of the Chief Finance Department and reports to the same. As such, it has the mandate and authority to implement financial policies and procedures in line with the approved ASU Financial Management Manual and other related guidelines. The office’s functions include managing funds, ensuring fiscal discipline, and safeguarding the financial integrity of the institution.
